Start your renewal before expiration

This guide is for American Heart Association instructors aligned with Last Minute Training. Check your instructor eCard expiration date in ATLAS and allow time to complete your renewal before it expires.

LMT begins renewal outreach within 60 days of your expiration date. Watch for an email with your renewal instructions. If you are approaching expiration and have not received an email, contact [email protected].

Complete your renewal before your instructor certification expires. If it has already expired, contact us to review your next steps.

What to prepare

Renewal includes a review of your teaching activity and the current AHA requirements for your discipline. Teaching activity alone does not complete the renewal process.

• Your instructor information. Check your contact information, instructor ID, expiration date, and alignment in ATLAS.
• Teaching records. Make sure your training activity is documented and all required course rosters have been submitted to the Training Site.
• Required updates. Complete any applicable AHA science, course, or instructor updates.
• Monitoring and other requirements. Be prepared to complete any outstanding monitoring, skills review, or documentation identified during your renewal review.

We will review your record and explain which requirements apply to your renewal.

LMT renewal steps

1. Review your renewal email. We will send instructions as your expiration date approaches.
2. Complete the electronic checklist and documents. Review and sign the documents sent to you, and provide any requested information.
3. Pay your renewal invoice. Follow the payment instructions and due date shown on your invoice.
4. Complete outstanding requirements. Coordinate with LMT to finish any required updates, monitoring, or other items identified during review.
5. Receive your renewed instructor eCard. Once your renewal requirements are satisfied and processing is complete, your new instructor eCard will be available in your ATLAS account.

Renewal confirmation

LMT will email you when your renewal is complete. The message will explain where to find your new instructor eCard and include any notes or actions you need to take, such as accepting an alignment request in ATLAS.

Review the completion email and check your new expiration date in ATLAS. Contact us if your eCard is missing or you need help with any remaining account actions.
