Narcan Training
NARCAN TRAINING
Instructors within Last Minute Training are encouraged to integrate Narcan / Naloxone training into their classes to combat narcotic overdose deaths. Although Narcan / Naloxone became available over the counter in March 2023 to enhance access to this life-saving intervention, there remains a gap between its availability and proper usage, highlighting a crucial need for education. CPR instructors, often working directly in schools, police departments, fire departments, and with the general public, possess a unique opportunity to enhance awareness and utilization of this life-saving medication. To incorporate this training into CPR / First Aid courses, please refer to the ND Department of Health and Human Service's Opioid Overdose Prevention program for valuable training resources.
