The American Heart Association's Blended Learning coursework is highly flexible, and can be finished at the student's own pace. Blended Learning means that the student completes the AHA's online coursework for their required course, then meets with a certified AHA Instructor for a skills session. This skills session is brief, usually taking around 30 minutes to complete. Once done, students are awarded the same course completion eCard that they would receive through traditional classroom based training.
To complete the online portion, follow these simple steps:
Begin at the American Heart Assoication's eLearning website that can be found here: https://elearning.heart.org
Click the drop down and find the course that fits your needs. The site will guide you toward purchasing and activating your elearning course. Here are some additional notes to consider:
Healthcare providers will need to complete the Basic Life Support "Heartcode" coursework (20-3553)
Once you have completed the coursework, you will be provided with a certificate of completion. eMail a copy of that completion certificate to admin@lastminutetraining.net . Some students find it easiest to snap a picture with their cellphone.
Skills sessions will be located at 1702 E Main Street in Mandan inside "Discovery Kids Academy". Once you arrive, we will be using the doors on the North side of the building.
