The American Heart Association’s Blended Learning coursework is highly flexible and can be completed at the student’s own pace. Blended Learning means the student completes the AHA’s online coursework for their required course, then meets with a certified AHA Instructor for a hands-on skills session. This skills session is brief, usually taking around 30 minutes to complete. Once finished, students are awarded the same course completion eCard they would receive through traditional classroom-based training.

Blended Learning courses include two separate costs, paid to two different organizations.

1. Online Course (Paid to the American Heart Association)

The online portion is purchased separately through the American Heart Association’s eLearning platform. Pricing varies by course and is set by the AHA. This payment is made directly to the AHA, not Last Minute Training.

You must complete the appropriate online course before attending your scheduled skills session.

2. Skills Session Registration Fee (Paid to Last Minute Training)

This fee covers your hands-on skills evaluation with a certified American Heart Association instructor, along with the processing and issuance of your official AHA eCard after successful completion.

To begin your certification, select the appropriate online course using one of the options below. Each button will take you directly to the American Heart Association’s official eLearning platform to purchase and complete the required online coursework.

Choose the pathway that best matches your role or workplace requirement. Once the online portion is finished, you will receive a certificate of completion that must be submitted to us before your hands-on skills session.

HeartcoDE BLS

This option is for healthcare professionals such as nurses, EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, and other clinical or public safety personnel who require Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The course is self-paced and must be completed prior to an in-person skills check.

Heartsaver Pediatric

Designed for preschools, daycares, childcare providers, babysitters, and parents, this course focuses on pediatric and infant emergencies, along with basic first aid and AED use. This is the most common pathway for childcare and education staff.

Heartsaver Total

This course is intended for general workplace safety, OSHA compliance, and individual learners. It covers adult CPR, AED use, and first aid and is commonly used by employers, contractors, and the general public.

Training location

Skills sessions will be located at 1702 E Main Street in Mandan inside "Discovery Kids Academy". Once you arrive, we will be using the doors on the North side of the building.
