The American Heart Association’s Blended Learning coursework is highly flexible and can be completed at the student’s own pace. Blended Learning means the student completes the AHA’s online coursework for their required course, then meets with a certified AHA Instructor for a hands-on skills session. This skills session is brief, usually taking around 30 minutes to complete. Once finished, students are awarded the same course completion eCard they would receive through traditional classroom-based training.
Blended Learning courses include two separate costs, paid to two different organizations.
1. Skills Session Registration Fee (Paid to Last Minute Training)
The in-person skills session fee is $45 per student. This covers your hands-on skills evaluation with a certified American Heart Association instructor and the processing and issuance of your official AHA eCard upon successful completion.
This fee is paid directly to Last Minute Training when you register for your skills session.
2. Online Course (Paid to the American Heart Association)
The online portion of the course is purchased separately through the American Heart Association’s eLearning platform. Pricing varies by course and is set by the AHA. This payment goes directly to the AHA, not to Last Minute Training.
For most students, the total combined cost typically comes to:
Approximately $68 per student for Heartsaver® courses
Approximately $82 per student for Basic Life Support (BLS)
The online course must be completed before your scheduled skills session.
After completing payment, select an available date and time for your skills session using our online scheduling system.
Skills sessions are limited in size to ensure adequate hands-on instruction. If you are scheduling for a group or employer with multiple students, you may reserve multiple spots during the signup process.
Please use the student’s email address when registering. This is the email address that confirmation messages, reminders, and session updates will be sent to.
To begin your certification, select the appropriate online course using one of the options below. Each button will take you directly to the American Heart Association’s official eLearning platform to purchase and complete the required online coursework.
Choose the pathway that best matches your role or workplace requirement. Once the online portion is finished, you will receive a certificate of completion that must be submitted to us before your hands-on skills session.
Additional course types are available directly through the American Heart Association at https://elearning.heart.org/
After completing the online course, email your completion certificate to admin@lastminutetraining.net
